The 1899 Inn has been in the National Register of Historic Places for over twenty years and is one of La Veta's original quarried sandstone structures. It was fully renovated in 2008. We have 5 rooms upstairs, 2 with private baths and 3 with shared bath. All rooms have their own sinks and mirrors. The cottage out back is self contained with a kitchen-living room, bedroom, and bathroom, and has off street parking. Centrally located in downtown La Veta, adjacent to the library (and wireless) and historic Francisco Fort Museum. An easy walk to 2 Peak Fitness, Charlie's grocery, shops and restaurants, and 5 minutes from Grandote golf course. Open May through mid-October. Cash or checks accepted. 9.9% tax added at checkout. Enjoy hiking, fishing, biking, painting, relaxing, exploring, and much more. Prices range from $70-100 a night, with use of the downstairs living area and sunroom during the day. We feature a full breakfast made with natural wholesome ingredients. Breakfast is served family style in the sunroom. We use environmentally friendly cleaning products, and we recycle.
